Duties and Accountability:
- Maintain electrical equipment’s functionality.
- Install new electrical equipment as required
- Preventive maintenance inspections and thorough, accurate reports on assigned equipment.
- Replacement and removal of electrical equipment
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment that is broken or malfunctioning, and report defects to the Foreman.
Qualifications:
- MTC or construction licenses 309A and 442
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Expertise in the present electrical code
- Intermediate computer proficiency
The Electrician must be capable of doing the following tasks:
- Interpretation of schematic and construction wiring diagrams
- Programming, troubleshooting, and monitoring control schemes for PLC systems and equipment
- Switchgear overhaul and troubleshooting
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair Motor control centers (MCCs)
- Install and maintain wires, conduits, cable trays, etc.
- Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instruments
- Understand and troubleshoot the many types and applications of relays
- Maintain, tested, and troubleshoot transformers, as well as discovered and resolve issues with motors and AC/DC drives.
- Properly lubricate allocated equipment
Safety and Health
- Comply with OHSA and all pertinent regulations
- Personal Protective Equipment as specified
- Observe CRH’s safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Report all events and close calls
- Report all potential dangers
- Observe lockout and tagout procedures
- Security awareness at ports
Environmental and Quality Compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001 Other:
Post-secondary education is a plus. 3-5 years of experience in a related field are advantageous.
