Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver items to the designated place as requested by the customer while putting your own and others’ safety first.
  • Communicate professionally on job sites with customers, coworkers, and other trades.
  • Deliver products to the customer’s satisfaction while emphasizing safety, service, and productivity.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and address concerns as they arise.
  • Install shingles on roofs. Must be able to work safely at heights
  • Prepare trucks for reloading and provide warehouse workers with assistance as required.
  • Report all accidents or injuries
  • Validate load safety and accuracy
  • Serve as the company’s representative with all employees and clients.
  • Follow all applicable rules, company policies, and operating procedures.
  • Other responsibilities imposed by management

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license with no moving violations is essential (DZ license preferred)
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities
  • Knowledge of elementary mathematics
  • Basic hand tool expertise
  • preferred: completion of high school
  • Must be comfortable working on rooftops at great heights.
  • Successful completion of Working at Heights training certified by OSHA is preferred.

Physical needs include

  • Capacity to lift and transport up to 100 pounds
  • Sitting for extended time periods
  • Frequently ascending and descending stairs
  • Pulling, pushing, bending, and twisting the body are required to convey building materials from the truck to the job site.
  • Compensation Bonus – Eligible for a competitive monthly piece labor bonus in addition to hourly base pay (conditions apply)
